In a now deleted tweet, Kanye West claimed that his imaginary feud with Taylor Swift is the reason he has never been invited to play the Super Bowl halftime show. "'I never was allowed to do the Super Bowl because of three moments. George Bush don't care about Black people. The Taylor Swift movement moment. Wearing a MAGA hat," he claimed online.
He says he was never going to play at the Super Bowl half time show, even before his whole 'Nazi' thing. Kanye claims that his ongoing beef with Jay-Z is what has also prevented him from playing the show. Jay-Z and Roc Nation have been in control of the show for years.
Kanye certainly didn't help himself recently by insulting Jay-Z's kids on X. He questioned their mental capabilities in yet another spotlight grab. It's all getting a bit pathetic for the once-great artist.
Kanye West's beef with Taylor Swift is almost entirely in his head. Swift is one of the least vindictive people in show business, she's just too boring. But Kanye, for some reason, has repeatedly attacked her. He's sexualized her, harrassed her on stage, and manufactured a strange narrative around their relationship. There is no Swift situation for Kayne, there's just Kanye being a little weirdo.
The reason Kanye hasn't played the Super Bowl halftime show has nothing to do with Taylor Swift. Maybe it's just because he's insufferable.
