Kate Beckinsale has got fans talking. The "Underworld" actress recently told a live audience that her daughter, Lily Mo Sheen, is dating a man who has laid two eggs. No, she wasn't joking; in fact, the look on her face was full of belief.
Beckinsale's comments came during a recent appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
"He laid two eggs in a week," Beckinsale said. "It had a shell and a yolk...It came out the way that it would come out of a hen. It came out of his egg hole...I mean, he went to the bathroom and then was very surprised to find that he had laid an egg. He was genuinely scared, and he, you know, he was like it's got a yolk, and you know it's the size of a bird.' Yes, he crushed it to see it was inside a yolk."
Beckinsale clearly believes that the man has indeed laid eggs. However, she noted that, despite reaching out to multiple medical professionals, there is still no firm explanation for why or how this could have occurred.
The good news is, if it's true, both Beckinsale and her daughter will now have access to free eggs for the duration of the relationship. Perhaps omelettes will become the household's signature dish.
Kate Beckinsale Once Turned Down a Major Movie Role
While Beckinsale's comments have certainly turned heads. However, this isn't the first time she's said or done something that has caught people off guard.
During a recent interview with Variety, she admitted that she previously turned down the opportunity to play Wonder Woman for the DC Extended Universe.
"It worked out beautifully," she said, "That was a wonderful film that Gal did".
Beckinsale then continued to note that she has no regret over the role, despite the movie's success, "No. It would have been a terrible movie based on the script that I read".
Nevertheless, Kimmel likely needed Wonder Woman's lasso of truth when Beckinsale was discussing her daughter's boyfriend's egg-laying habits. After all, it sounds too far-fetched to be true. Short of calling up Gal Gadot, who played the role of Wonder Woman, we will never know for sure.
