Alright so everyone knows that Katy Perry was part of the Blue Origin space trip. That's not really ground-breaking news. Katy made sure of that. But what is news is that Orlando Bloom seems to be calling her out on the whole flight. And honestly, I can't really blame him. The whole thing seemed incredibly ridiculous from the start.
Katy Perry Takes Flight
Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know that Katy Perry was part of the Blue Origin space flight. She was on a team with five other women. One of which, of course, was Jeff Bezos' fiancée.
Now, the team technically didn't really go into space. Actually, they didn't really do anything at all. They went up to the Karman Line, which is about 62 miles above the ground. It's not an exact mark in the atmosphere, but supposedly it is the "boundary of space". Just to clarify the INternational Space Station orbits at 250 miles from the ground.
So to recap, this group of gals went up into space (kind of), sat there for 10ish minutes, and went back down. Yeah, that totally sounds like a normal girls' trip. We can all relate to that. My girlfriend has done the exact same thing for sure.
Alright, we can all agree that these girls are not astronauts. They went on a really cool field trip, got weightless, and came back.
