Katy Perry can't catch a break online at the moment. Her Blue Origin debacle was not made better by her hilariously bad Lifestyles tour, and nobody's holding back. In retaliation, Katy Perry has clapped back at the haters by changing the lyrics of "Part of Me" during the tour.

To address the online stick she's been receiving, Katy Perry changed the lyrics "I just wanna throw my phone away." Instead, she replaced the word 'phone' with 'social media'. This was referencing the disdain people have for her online at the moment.
However, I feel like Katy Perry could have chosen another song, or other lyrics to change for more effect, addressing the haters. Swapping out the word 'phone' with 'social media' has no impact. Aren't they, more or less, the same thing?
However, I've, sadly, listened to her music. She's hardly the most innovative or imaginative songwriter. We can't expect too much creativity or nuance.
@tonyraycarter Can yall just give her a break?! ? From the pit at the very front let me tell you this was an AMAZING SHOW ??? #katyperry #katy #lifetimestour #katyperrylasvegas

It's A Downward Spiral For Katy Perry's Image
Katy Perry has always been music for people who don't listen to music, so she usually stayed in the same circles as the rest of the pop slop out there. But, when she publicly decided to ride on billionaire Jeff Bezos' space ship and narcissistically stare into a camera the whole time, she opened herself to a lot of criticism.
The problems with what she did and what it represented are complex and deep. But what came of it was a destroyed public opinion of Katy Perry. She was no longer just a mid, pop-sensation; she embodied the disconnect between rich and poor.
But Katy Perry had a tour, and it could have been a chance for her to win back some favor. From the get-go, there was little chance of that, though. The performances are hilariously bad, seeing her death drop vogue-style, sprint around a track in thigh-high boots and a sequined bra and panties, and even fight a piece of extraction tubing with a TEMU lightsaber.
She's not spoken much about her trip to space on the billionaire's phallic space Uber, probably because she hasn't got a leg to stand on. But, the haters are obviously getting to Katy Perry enough for her to messily change the lyrics of one of her songs on tour.
