Keith Urban Drops Another Song From His Upcoming Live Album

Keith Urban has dropped another song from his upcoming live album. The New Zealand-born star just released a live version of his current single, "Straight Line." The song, like "Long Hot Summer," was recorded during his current High and Alive World Tour.

"Straight Line" is from Urban's latest HIGH album. The song was written by Urban, along with Jerry Flowers, Chase McGill and Greg Wells.

"It's a song that is really about recognizing that life can sometimes just become monotonous and routine," Urban explains. "For me too, for so many people. It can happen slowly. You're doing your job, you're showing up Monday to Friday or Monday to Saturday, whatever it is, day in, day out. It's like rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat.

"You're doing it and you're being responsible," he continues. "But slowly but surely you're like, 'My life is not so great. It used to be really fun. What the hell happened?' Because it's life."

Keith Urban On His High And Alive World Tour

Urban launched his High and Alive World Tour in May. The 57-year-old is doing something new with his tour, inspired by his recent Las Vegas residency.

"I think one of the areas we really benefited with this tour was, we were doing a residency in Vegas, which started in October of last year, and then we wrapped it in February of this year," Underwood says.

"We went ahead and designed a hind-live production ahead of that show," he continues. "So, we could actually utilize all that production in Vegas, and start to get a feel for what we can do with it on stage. We've never gotten that opportunity before."

Part of the magic for Urban of his live shows is that no two of them are ever the same.

"I don't always know what I'm going to do next," Urban acknowledges (via Country Now). "And there's something exhilarating about living that way and about performing that way. So again, we've been really lucky with this band."

Urban has yet to reveal a release date for his live album. His High and Alive Tour wraps up on October 17 in Nashville.
