A spotlight has remained on Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman ever since Kidman filed for divorce from Urban in late September of this year. Although the word on the street is that the couple was simply dealing with "irreconcilable differences," many fans have started coming up with theories as to why this couple called it quits after nearly 20 years of marriage. A lot of these theories have to do with Keith Urban's utility player, Maggie Baugh, and his popular hit, "The Fighter".

It seems like some of these rumors were dying down for a moment, but they might start up again after Urban forgot the lyrics to his famous song while performing on his High and Alive Tour. Fans captured this moment on TikTok from the Nashville show of his tour on October 17th.
While performing the duet with Natalie Stovall, Urban forgets the lyrics going into the second verse. He laughs it off, admitting, "and I forgot the whole words to my song." Going into the chorus, Urban is trying to keep a straight face, but is struggling amidst the circumstances. Out of all the songs he could have forgotten the words to, "The Fighter" is probably the funniest one, considering everything that's happened surrounding the song lately. Ultimately, Urban handled the fumbled lyrics like a champ and went back to delivering a phenomenal show for his Nashville fans.
Keith Urban Changes the Lyrics to a Song About His Wife
In 2016, Keith released his album, Ripcord, which catapulted "The Fighter" to a No. 11 spot on the Hot Country Songs Chart. The song's catchy hook is what drew audiences in, but Urban's duet with Carrie Underwood is probably what got him a nomination from the CMAs later on.
Urban revealed to Billboard that his wife, Nicole Kidman, was a leading inspiration for the song lyrically. "It's all from a conversation my wife and I had early on in our relationship, that when things get tough, I need to hold her tighter and just try to take care of her." In retrospect, it doesn't appear that the song's message aged all too well.
At a recent show, rumors sparked when Keith Urban changed the lyrics of the song from "I'll be the fighter" to "Maggie, I'll be your guitar player," while performing the song next to his utility player, Maggie Baugh.
