Kelly Clarkson Has A Bold Declaration When Talking About Baring It All

On a recent episode of the Kelly Clarkson show, the singer talks about being naked and free with her guests.

Videos by Wide Open Country

On December 6, the show's namesake, Kelly Clarkson herself, brings up what it's like to bear it all with a guest on the show. Sitting with her, she had Taye Diggs and Tyler Posey, and she brings up a particular picture of Posey.

On May 7, Posey posted on Instagram to celebrate 3 years of sobriety. The first picture of the gallery, however, was of Posey facing the open road, away from the camera, with his pants down. A skull emoji censored the image, but it's clear that he was exposed.

Diggs asked Posey, "Was that your booty?" to which he confirmed it was.

After some ambling about the picture, Clarkson asks, "How freeing was that moment, though?"

"So freeing!" he responded.

Clarkson thought to add her own perspective on the matter, "I love being naked! I think we are so weird about being naked, especially in this country." Posey agreed with her statement.

"It's so weird, it's just that, it's just bodies," she exasperatedly said, "I think there's inappropriate ages for certain things, but at some point, it's just like, we're not that different. You know?"

Kelly Clarkson Thinks Being Naked Is Liberating, Until "Gravity Takes Hold"

After Clarkson says her piece on the matter, Posey adds, "it's liberating."

To end their small chat about nudity, Kelly Clarkson then responds, "until gravity takes hold," with a laugh. Whatever that means.

I can't say I walk around naked in privacy, so maybe I simply don't understand what it's like for gravity to take hold whilst you're nude. If anyone would like to enlighten me, send me a (carefully worded) email. Thanks.

As they immediately change topics, I can only imagine her statement has something to do with nature calling, although that's all the same whether you wear clothes or not.

It seems like more of us Westerners are getting comfortable being in the buff. Although it's not a hangup exclusive to this side of the world, there certainly are strong views on nudity and appropriateness. As more people with audiences mention the liberation of being naked, perhaps public attitude will shift.
