Kelly Clarkson is returning to The Voice for Season 29, with massive changes coming for the show in 2026. Adam Levine and Niall Horan will join Clarkson, using a total of three coaches. It's just part of the surprising new twists coming for Season 29.

Season 29 is The Voice: Battle of Champions. The season will be "infused with fast-paced, competitive elements inspired by both, delivering a fresh twist on the format that raises the stakes for coaches and artists alike," per a press release.
Season 29 of The Voice will air in February of 2026, coinciding with NBC Sports' "Legendary February." The name is because NBC Sports will air Super Bowl LX, the Milan Cortina Olympic Winter Games, and the NBA All-Star Game.

Much is changing about The Voice for Season 29. For the season, there will be a total of four rounds, each offering something different. For the Blind Auditions, coaches will compete against each other in the "Triple Turn Competition, competing to see who can get the most three-chair turns. The winner will get a special advantage in the next round.
In the Battles, the coach who has the most three-chair turns will automatically earn a "Super Steal." The "Super Steal" is only available once. It also supercedes any coach's attempt to steal.
For the Knockout round, each coach will bring back two fan-favorite artists from their teams in previous seasons to compete in an "In-Season All-Star Competition." These all-stars will represent their former coaches, battling in head-to-head sing-offs. The coach will the most sing-off will automatically have a second finalist in the finale.
For this special episode only, inaugural coach CeeLo Green will sit in on the competition and determine the winner of each All-Star Showdown.
Lastly, the Semi-Final and Finale Week will begin with a Top 9 Semi-Final, ending with the Top 4 Finale. Also, for the first time in the history of The Voice, a voting block made up only of super fans past artists on The Voice will be able to be part of the in-studio audience to vote live during the semi-finals and the finale.
Reba McEntire is returning for Season 28, along with Snoop Dogg, Michael Bublé and Horan.
