Kelly Clarkson is realizing that even in the world of show business, life is still all about compromise. To be able to run her incredibly popular TV show, there have had to be other areas in her life that Kelly Clarkson has had to hold back on, and sadly, that's her music.

Last season, The Kelly Clarkson Show was pulling in around 1.4 million viewers. This season, however, it has dropped to around 1.2 million. That's hardly surprising considering how little she's actually been on it, really.
But, despite its success, Kelly Clarkson has admitted that it has taken a toll on other areas of her life. The show has dominated a long and intense schedule that doesn't leave a lot of room for other things. While speaking to a crowd in Atlantic City, N.J, according to Page Six, she addressed her disappointment.
"We are bummed 'cause we love doing shows, and it's hard to fit it in," she told the crowd. She was referring to her limited ability to tour and play shows. "So it's cool when it does work out with the schedule," she continued. "And it's cool to get to see your faces and feed off y'all. Thank you so much for having so much energy."
Maybe A Change of Pace In Store For Kelly Clarkson
Of late, Kelly Clarkson has been absent from her regularly scheduled show. It's not my place to speculate what her personal reasons are for it, but it could be a sign she's looking to leave. No doubt, she's made a mint from it, and it's crazy popular. But, she's first and foremost a musician. Any old idiot can host a talk show.
She clearly misses touring with her music. While Kelly Clarkson is stuck in a contract with her show, there's going to be no chance of a full tour. As she said, the energy she feels from performing live is what she feeds off. Sitting in a studio week after week simply isn't the same.
Her contract with The Kelly Clarkson Show ends in 2026. Whether or not she will renew is anyone's guess. But, from the sounds of it, she's looking to get back on the touring circuit.
