Kelsea Ballerini Asks Fans for a Favor: “I’m Trying To Make My Personal Life Personal”

Kelsea Ballerini asked fans to help her with protecting her peace in a recent Instagram Q&A. Here's what she had to say.

Kelsea Ballerini has had quite the year. From releasing a new EP to being nominated for ACMs and CMAs, Ballerini is killing it from a professional standpoint. However, that's not what most people have been talking about when it comes to the Ballerini. The singer recently went through a difficult breakup with her longtime boyfriend, Chase Stokes, which was unexpected. In a showdown that's become rather public, Ballerini has admitted it's been a struggle to keep her peace.

Recently, she asked fans for help with that.

In an Instagram Q&A, a fan asked Ballerini if there was anything that the fans could do for her. She expressed gratitude for the gesture and then responded to the question. "If I had one favor, it would be honoring that I'm trying to make my personal life personal for now," she continued. "Unless it comes from me, it's not from me, and that is really important in protecting my peace right now."

Ballerini Continues To Show Emotional Growth With 'Mount Pleasant' EP

This isn't the only time Ballerini has asked fans to respect her privacy this year. On TikTok in September, the singer posted a clip of her vibing to the Ariana Grande song, "Shut Up", and even without the caption attached, the message comes across loud and clear. Kelsea added, "speculators, 'sources', and hidden cameras outside the hair salon. let us be. please. ????." This was probably meant to address photos taken shortly after her split from Stokes, in which Ballerini was seen outside a Nashville hair salon.

Rather than letting the breakup drama get to her, Kelsea Ballerini is busy promoting her most recent project, Mount Pleasant, which features a collection of six songs she wrote over the summer.

At the time, Ballerini revealed she was going through a period of heavy "self-examination," which led her to put her feelings down on paper. The project touches on the breakup with Stokes and explores themes of romantic comparison and regret. The project itself is incredibly introspective and seems to have been very well received.
