Country singer Kenny Chesney is back in the studio, but it's probably not for the reason you think. He's not recording a new album just yet. Instead, he's embarking on a journey that strays a little away from his country music path.

In a recent Instagram post, Chesney shared that he is "recording the audiobook for #HeartLifeMusic," a memoir on his life. He co-wrote with author, Holly Gleason, and is in the midst of recording the project. The audiobook will be ready and available to listen to on November 4.
"It's amazing how alive reading this made me feel..." the hitmaker shared of recording the book he wrote, an adventure he never thought he would embark on. In a recent interview, Chesney admitted that although he once said he'd never write a book, "But yet here we are."
Chesney Shares the Inspiration Behind Heart Life Music
"People have asked me a lot why I haven't written a book yet, and honestly why now? I was, I guess, born a dreamer and a seeker and always wondered what was past my county line." He recalls being a kid in Knoxville, Tennessee. "I remember going out and lying on my back in my backyard at my grandmother's house. And just staring at the stars and wondering if there was anything out there at all."
He shared of his early dreams, "I had music in my head when nothing was going on, right? It was just there." In Heart Life Music, Chesney plans to share how he's taken moments in his life and used them for good, in the most authentic way he knows how, through song.
Chesney has been making music since he set foot in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1991. After signing a record deal about a year later, Chesney released his debut project, In My Wildest Dreams. When he came out with his second album, All I Need To Know, it earned him two top ten singles on the radio. It wasn't until his third album that he got his first No. 1.
Now an Entertainer of the Year winner four times, Chesney has talked a lot about the discipline it takes to be a part of this business and has given insight into some of the challenges he's faced along the way. When promoting his memoir, Heart Life Music, Chesney shared, "It can happen. It's not for free...but this book is proof, I am proof, that the journey is worth it."
Chesney's new book Heart Life Music will come out November 4, with a book tour leading up to it's release. We can't wait to hear Chesney's journey in his own words, and what advice he has for those wanting to make their "wildest dreams" a reality.
