While being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, Kenny Chesney had a lot to say about his career. However, he also admitted the night was "the first time that I have ever felt accomplished in my life."

Alongside June Carter-Cash and Tony Brown, Chesney was inducted into the Modern Era Artist category. Some of the accomplishments he boasts as an artist include winning the CMA Entertainer of the Year Award, and selling millions of albums. However, even after all those sold out stadiums, Chesney rarely lets himself feel rewarded.
This weekend, the 57 year old talked about life, lessons, and his journey as an artist. At the beginning of his speech, he even shared some wisdom from a moment with Megan Moroney. He recalled a time where, after a show in Pittsburgh, Moroney asked him if he ever "lets himself feel accomplished". This is what he had to say.
"She asked me if I ever let myself feel accomplished," Chesney shared, "and I thought that was a very smart question for someone who's just now getting into the business." He went on to say, "The truth is, I never really let myself sit in accomplishment very much. I've always been very creative, very driven. But tonight, walking into that rotunda and taking the group shot with a lot of my heroes and a lot of my friends — it was the first time that I have ever felt accomplished in my life."
Watch Megan Moroney's Performance of "Knowing You"
When an artist or songwriter gets inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, it's tradition for other creatives to play music for them. So when Chesney was being inducted, there was no one better than Megan Moroney to perform his song "Knowing You".
Since touring with Chesney on his Sun Goes Down Tour, it seems that Moroney has looked up to the "American Kids" singer as a mentor. She even told People, "I would literally watch his whole show every night— side stage— trying to learn from him. From everything he does on the stage to interacting with his fans, I'm trying to take note of every move he makes." She's also remarked on his "work ethic" and shared that "Knowing You" is still one of her favorite songs.
Chesney closed out his speech acknowledging the people that have been there with him throughout his career. "This has just been an unbelievable night for me. What an honor...The thing that I am very thankful for is the fact that I got to do this with so many people."
