At 70 years old with an illustrious resume, Kevin Costner has plenty of reasons to retire. There may not be a ton of stories he still wants to tell in film. Moreover, there also might not be much more directors or actors he wants to work with either. Maybe Costner could finally find time to settle down with a lady in his life and reflect on his work.

It's something that's been on his mind lately, whether or not there's more for him. But it doesn't take long for Kevin Costner to shrug off any such notion that he's done acting. Recently, he spoke to PEOPLE, where he denies any absurd idea of retirement. No higher up could stop him from his passion, it's all about what he can siphon from his creative mind. "I don't even think about retiring, because I'll just move to the next thing that captures my imagination," Costner says.
Kevin Costner Says He's Not Retiring Any Time Soon
"Imagination is what determines what I do, not a boss. I think we're all different and we have different things happening for us. I've felt really lucky in my life. I'd like to think that I worked for all of it, but not everybody can live by the same blueprint," Costner continues.
Still, Kevin Costner has a loaded catalog. He's been acting since the '80s. From Bull Durham to The Bodyguard to Dances With Wolves and eventually Yellowstone, there's no shortage of ideas and stories he's told. How does the actor keep a fresh mind for it? Does he have a bucket list to keep him intrigued?
Not at all actually. He doesn't even believe in the concept. "I don't have those things," Kevin Costner explains. "I have that list, [but] I don't refer to it that way. But certainly my eyes and my enthusiasms are wide open and very big. "I've so enjoyed life and imagining what I can do, what can I be about and what makes a difference. Not only to me, but to other people. What just satisfies me? I go through that whole idea, and you realize it's about time. It's a rush to get to all of them."
