Ryan Reynolds and wife, Blake Lively, have been making headlines for months over their lawsuit against Justin Baldoni. Ryan Reynolds' Justin Baldoni Joke Receives Mixed Reactions

Unless you are completely removed from celebrity news and gossip, I am sure you have heard of the drama between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. The two starred in movie together based off a best-selling novel by Colleen Hoover. The film and book are titled It Ends With Us. Fans were excited to see the book and characters come to life.

However, it turned out that the filming process was not as dreamy as it looked on screen. After filming, Lively and Baldoni made headlines, but not for any positive reasons. Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and Baldoni responded by accusing her and her husband of defamation and extortion. The legal battle has not been pretty and many fans have been split down the middle. Lively has had many fans come to her defense and banish Baldoni, believing her claims. While others have come to Baldoni's aid claiming that Lively is just a "mean girl" and falsifying claims against him.

Now, it appears Livley's husband took it upon himself to try and make light of the situation. Furthermore, he chose to do so on SNL and their 50 Anniversary. However, Ryan Reynolds' Justin Baldoni joke was met with mixed reactions. While many laughed, some were not impressed. Particularly, Kevin Costner who was seated behind him.

Tiny Fey and Amy Poehler were on the stage kicking things off for the SNL 50 Anniversary show. They jokingly asked the crowd if anyone had any questions, to which many stars jokingly had answers. Eventually, Reynolds stood up stating that he too had a question.

Fey and Poehler jokingly asked him, "How's it going?" To which Reynolds replied, "Great — why what have you heard?" When he asked his question the crowd erupted in laughter. The laughter continued as Fey and Poehler jokingly put their hands up in an innocent "Oh no no we haven't heard a thing" gesture. However, Lively looked up at her husband a little taken aback. Similarly, Kevin Costner did not seem impressed with Ryan Reynolds' Justin Baldoni joke either.

While the actor did not specifically say Baldoni's name, many assumed that Reynolds was referencing Baldoni. As well as the serious legal allegations that he and his wife are facing and casting at the current moment. Kevin Costner's slight grimace at the joke lead fans to believe that he believed the joke was about the serious allegations as well. Additionally, that he did not approve of the joke.

The incredibly full, star-studded audience did nothing to deter fans from latching on to this seemingly awkward moment. Despite Ryan Reynold's joke about Justin Baldoni being about 3 seconds long, it was one of the most memorable moments of the night...and not necessarily in a good way.

The Daily Mail shared various fans' reactions to his mindless comment, most of which seem to be aligned with Kevin Costner and his grimace. Here are some of the top comments posted under the SNL X video.

"The rest of us are Kevin Costner. Blake and Ryan have some explaining to do. Also, what they did to Justin Baldoni is not funny at all. #SNL50."

"The look on Kevin's face is priceless. Considering Kevin has written and created movies, he must be disgusted."

Other comments slandered SNL for getting involved in the drama at all. Some of those comments were:

"How sweet of SNL to try and do damage control for Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively—but it won't work."

"Gross. So they're supporting the bullies too."

At this point, it seems despite the audience's laughter, more and more fans seem to be leaning in favor of Baldoni. Furthermore, it looks like fans did not appreciate the joke or making light of the serious allegations.
