Kid Rock is mad that nobody is paying attention to him. It makes sense, his music doesn't register with much of anyone nowadays. This isn't the early 2000s and people don't have nostalgia for much of his music either. It's ironic considering this would be the perfect era for the Detroit rocker to thrive in, with all the country-curing from hip-hop aesthetics that still goes on. Instead, he's aligned himself with the Trump fanbase and they aren't exactly buying or streaming his music either. So if no one cares, why would mainstream media cover him?

This doesn't seem to translate in the head of Kid Rock, though. His recent trip to the White House sees him sit down with the president of the United States as well as UFC CEO Dana White and media personality Bill Maher. Out of all the things worth caring about right now, that's on the bottom of the totem pole for most people. But Kid Rock desperately needs you to care. Now, he's blaming mainstream media for not helping his quest for promotion.
Kid Rock Slams Mainstream Media for Not Covering His White House Dinner
Recently, he went on an online tirade where he blasted mainstream media for not applauding his efforts at securing dinner with the U.S. president. "There's something that's been weighing on my mind concerning this dinner with Bill Maher, President Trump, Dana White, and myself... but it's really no shocker," Kid Rock says. "This dinner - I stuck my neck out to make this dinner happen. There was a chance it could go really bad, and that I might lose the president's trust over lining this thing up. Thank God it turned out so good."
Additionally, Kid Rock claims that this is just another example of mainstream media not covering 'positivity' in their programming. "I think like most people it's such a positive thing for this country and a message of having some civility between reasonable people who disagree. That was proven," he says. "But what the f--k? The mainstream media... I've seen zero on NBC, ABC, CBS, I don't think I've seen anything on CNN. I saw something that the Washington Post is trying to change the narrative of course, that it was a bad thing or that Bill Maher got played or something.
"There's no doubt that this is something positive for our country," Kid Rock adds. "And none of these m***********s could say anything about it? That tells you everything you need to know about these people."
This all registers as more of a selfless desire for attention. It's also just a meager attempt at pandering to his right-wing audience. It's clear that he hopes that if he tries just hard enough, people will go back to the good ol' days when he was famous. But I can speak for everyone in saying, Kid Rock isn't worth paying much attention to in the first place.
