Kurt Russell Set To Join the Cast of 'Yellowstone' Spinoff ‘The Madison'

Kurt Russell will be joining the cast of this 'Yellowstone' spinoff. Read the latest details on the show here.

After the TV show Yellowstone ended in December of 2024, many fans were left wondering what to watch next. Lucky for fans of director Taylor Sheridan, a new spinoff titled The Madison is set to drop sometime in 2026. Limited details have been revealed so far, but we know it's set in the same universe as Yellowstone. Over the past year, details have slowly been dropped, and just recently, a new cast member was revealed. Kurt Russell, the legendary film actor, will be joining the cast of The Madison alongside Michelle Pfiefer, Patrick J. Adams, and Matthew Fox.

He is rumored to be taking on the role of Michelle Pfiefer's husband in the series, but details on this have not yet been released. The show would be only Russell's second TV experience, as he has dedicated most of his career to film acting.

Kurt Russell first started acting in the 60s, where he gained notoriety for starring in several Disney films. In 1979, he played the role of Elvis in Elvis, which earned him an Emmy Nomination and the opportunity to pursue other roles. He's not inexperienced in the Western genre, which should help him a great deal in the Yellowstone spinoff.

First starring in Tombstone in 1993, he played Wyatt Earp, a lawman on the western frontier. More recently, in 2015, he joined director Quentin Tarantino to star in his film, The Hateful Eight, in which he played a rugged bounty hunter. Throughout his youth, the actor also made several appearances on Western TV shows and movies.

Sheridan's Got Plenty in Store for Yellowstone Fans

Even though The Madison technically isn't out yet, several other spinoffs are on the way to keep Yellowstone fans entertained. 1944, which is a sequel to 1923, follows the Dutton family during the time period of World War II. This spinoff will also premiere sometime in 2026. The Yellowstone Instagram account also just teased another spinoff, Marshals, which will focus on Kayce Dutton's character as he joins the U.S. Marshals. Take a look at this short clip below.

The Madison will be available to stream exclusively via Paramount+ in 2026, and will detail the McIntosh family as they travel from New York City to the Madison River Valley in Montana after a tragedy. One thing's for sure: come 2026, Yellowstone fans might have thought they were going to be bored, but Sheridan's got plenty planned to keep them on their toes with Kurt Russell in the mix.
