Lainey Wilson Wows When She Headlines at Bridgestone Arena for the First Time

Superstars have an indefinable quality that makes you want to watch them again and again. Call it charisma, showmanship, personality, whatever. Lainey Wilson has it in abundance. That, coupled with her powerhouse talent, made her recent headlining, sold-out debut at Bridgestone Arena a must-see. The show was reportedly a knock-out, with other artists like Ella Langley, Muscadine Bloodline, Jelly Roll, and ERNEST on hand to help out. But it was Wilson and her magic that kept everyone spellbound, per Country Now.

Wilson Sang Some of Her Biggest Hits

The concert was a glorious, two-hour Lainey-fest. She sang some of her most famous hits, including "Hold My Halo," "Whirlwind," "Bell Bottoms Up," "Heart Like a Truck," and many more. Her performance of "Somewhere Over Laredo" was accompanied by lavish stage effects such as "stunning, colorful visuals and a drape of silky fabric that transformed the stage into a dreamscape," per the outlet.

She Introduced the Cowgirl of the Night

Perhaps the sweetest moment of the evening was when Wilson brought the "Cowgirl of the Night" onto the stage. During her tour, she is selecting a young female fan at each show and bringing her on stage to say empowering messages that she hopes they will internalize. The adorable Cowgirl of the Night at Bridgestone Arena was a little girl whose name is Harper. Per the outlet, she spoke "affirmations like, 'I am beautiful. I am smart. I am talented. I can do anything.'" That is the outlook that Wilson wants to impart to her fans so they can succeed in life like she is.

The Singer Voiced Her Gratitude to Her Fans

Wilson paused to express her thanks to everybody for supporting her. "This is really, really crazy. Like I said earlier, y'all, I've been in this arena a lot. Like I said, I've sat in almost every single corner of this place, and I've been here 14 years. I've been in Nashville since 2011. I always believed that this would happen, but now that it's here, it's really blowing my mind and it really just started sinking in right before I got on stage."

She added, "And I'm like, 'what in the world? Y'all sold out this entire tour? This is wild! Thank y'all so much. Thank you for spending your hard money to be here. That means the world to me I have the best in the world. I could talk about y'all all day."

She Referenced Her Storytelling Expertise

Wilson enthusiastically told the throng, "Because when you're from a town of 157, there ain't a whole lot to do except work and tell stories. And my parents would tell me these stories that got better every single time that I heard 'em. The ones that make you laugh and cry, the ones that make you want to drink a beer, are the ones that just make you feel something. And I really do think that that's why I fell in love with country music because of the storytelling."
