Late Fleetwood Mac Icon's Penthouse Hits Market — See Inside

Property in London is already eye-wateringly expensive. Even a one-bedroom hovel, not fit for a Dickensian street urchin, goes for half a million. So, even trying to imagine the cost of buying the penthouse of late Fleetwood Mac legend Christine McVie is beyond the realms of reasonable thought. But we can take a look inside and dream.

Christine McVie died of a stroke at 79 after a long and successful life playing the keyboard and singing vocals for Fleetwood Mac. Her enormous London penthouse, purchased with her Fleetwood Mac money, has been sitting empty since 2022.

Now, though, it has hit the market. It's being sold by Beuchamp for an astounding $9 million.

A Truly Unique Space in Central London

Christine McVie didn't skimp on her penthouse. It is located in a particularly affluent area of London known as Belgravia. The home occupies the top two floors of a beautiful square building. It is only a short walk from Sloane Square, Knightsbridge, and Hyde Park.

The building itself is a delight to see. It boasts three large bedrooms, with one being a partial en suite. It also features a reception room, dining room, kitchen, and study. But the real shining jewel in the Christine McVie penthouse is the roof terrace. These are few and far between in London, and this one offers stunning views around the London borough.

As is common with English buildings of the era, the bottom floor of the penthouse features huge 3m high ceilings. These spacious rooms are flooded with light from the traditional sash windows, which can be thrown open to let in the smells of London's smog.

The spacious kitchen on the lower floor has oak worktops, bespoke cabinetry, and integrated Gaggenau appliances. There is plenty of space for whoever it is that will be cooking meals for someone who can afford a $9 million penthouse.

The bedrooms upstairs have vaulted ceilings with large windows to let in the light. One of the bedrooms features a semi en-suite and a large walk-in wardrobe with a dressing room.

The roof terrace is a perfect sun catcher and may have been the place in the Penthouse that Christine McVie even took time to play her music. It has shrubs for privacy but still offers stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding city.
