One of the more tragic stories of 2024 revolved around Levi Wright. Son of rodeo star Spencer Wright, the three-year-old passed away in a tragic toy tractor accident. The young child drove his tractor into a river at their home in Utah. Initially, he was in critical condition, but people still held out hope with some updates. Unfortunately, he was proven brain dea,d and the family made the difficult decision of removing his breathing tube. Now, a year later, Spencer and his wife Kallie reflect on losing Levi.

Recently, Kallie wrote a tribute to her late son on Instagram. There, she reflects on the last moments she had with her baby boy and the roller coaster of emotions that came with it. Moreover, she stresses that her love has magnified even further despite the tragedy.

"A year ago today, we held you as you took your last breaths," Kallie writes. "They said it could take a day or 2, I was so scared I wouldn't be holding you when you left, and that was so important to me. You stayed with usfor 17 minutes. As you left, an overwhelming feeling came over me & I knew we had done right by you." Kallie writes of Levi. "For me this isnt the day you fully left us but the day it became official. Levi we talk about and think of you everyday. We live for you! Our love for you is stronger than ever."
It's the perseverance of a young boy like him that's so inspirational. Even after the discouraging MRI, Kallie felt like it was her son fighting hard to help the family get through it. "Levi showed us just enough to buy us time for all of this," she says at the time. "We prayed those things were him defying odds & proving to us that he wanted to stay here but we see now he wanted to give us time to find peace with letting him go."
