So I guess people weren't the only ones partying this Memorial Day weekend. Some pigeons got loose on a plane while it was in the air. And they did not know what to do with themselves. I don't know who the heck was bringing pigeons on a flight in the first place, but wow. That is wild. Thanks to People and an Instagram clip, we can discuss.

American Pigeons?
Yeah, that's a bold assumption on my part. There's definitely a possibility that they are, though. I mean, look at the way they were partying. Real chance they had a couple of brews.

Outside of the flight leaving out of NYC. Somewhere in the Midwest would have definitely been my second guess. Not trying to diss, just kinda lines up in my head.
How Did It Get Delta'd With?
(The Pigeons got loose in a Delta aircraft, bear with me on the puns.) But according to the Instagram caption, it was a wild ride. The caption reads, "The pilot got on the mic and confirmed a pigeon was on the plane, and said he had no experience with this situation. Baggage handlers boarded and carried the pigeon off. People applauded. A young girl asked if she could pet it."
The ending is infinitely funny to me. That is the most natural little girl's response to any animal being loose. Just dying to get her hands on the fuzzy little menace.
Oh, and on top of that, this is reason 1,000,000 why Baggage Handlers do not get paid enough. There is literally no way I'd board that plane to deal with a loose pigeon. Even the pilot was like, 'absolutely not, I don't make enough to deal with this problem.'
The Instagram handle Cawtom also reported, "The plane eventually pulled away and began taxiing to the runway, and then another pigeon emerged! This is my video of it flying through the cabin." TWO pigeons? There's a magician out there who's down some solid money.
This sounds like the worst version of a magic trick.
