Luke Bryan has had 32 No. 1 hits, but he isn't ready to slow down. Bryan, who just hit No. 1 with "Country Song Came On," is still working harder than ever before.

"This year's been an amazing year for me, when I look on the touring side," Bryan tells Billboard, referring to his Country Song Came On Tour. "Still selling out concerts, and learning that what I say on stage is on TikTok the next day, so I gotta get a little better about [what I say]. The thing with me is, I'm just enjoying every aspect of my career. I still love trying to be a better singer, songwriter, and performer. And then, the main thing is, get out there and try to keep having hits, and bringing the fans in."
The TikTok comment is likely referring to Bryan's recent illness, which forced him to cancel or postpone several shows. He is fortunately better now, and ready to focus on the future.
Luke Bryan Hits No. 1 With "Country Song Came On"
"Country Song Came On" is from Bryan's 2024 Mind of a Country Boy album. He admits that 32 No. 1 singles is a hard thing even for him to comprehend.
"When I first heard this song, it took me right back to the clubs and honky tonks I played before I got to Nashville," Bryan says, speaking of his latest No. 1 single. "I love how the writers kept the simplicity in the track and let the lyric paint the story. WOW #32! I love standing on that stage for country fans more than ever. Thank you for showing up for me."
Ryan Beaver, Dan Alley and Neil Medley wrote "Country Song Came On." The song resonated with the Georgia native the first time he heard it.
"It's just a classic country song," Bryan says of the song. "It's a song that I've always really - I used to cover songs like this, from Brooks & Dunn to Clint Black. All the honky tonk songs, and this is my version of that. The first time I heard it, I was like, 'That says everything I wanted to say.'"
