Luke Bryan Reveals Some Of His Favorite Singing Partners But There's One Surprising Omission: Blake Shelton

Luke Bryan has released a list of some of his favorite duet partners in a sweet post. However, I couldn't help but notice a strange absence.

Blake Shelton wasn't on the list.

In (yet another) social media promotion for American Idol, Luke Bryan uploaded a list of singers he's previously performed with live.

"In honor of the head to head duets tonight, here are just some of my favorite duet partners. Tune in to #americanidol tonight for some iconic performances," he wrote.

The artists he chose to highlight were:

  • Taylor Swift
  • Carrie Underwood
  • Lionel Richie
  • Jason Derulo
  • Karen Fairchild
  • Jason Aldean
  • Jordan Davis

It is likely that this post was meticulously constructed by a social media team, so it likely isn't an accurate reflection. The inclusion of his fellow American Idol judges (for promotional purposes) and Taylor Swift (for internet points), you should take this list with a grain of salt.

And the phrase "some of" is specifically used as to not offend anyone.

However, I still find it strange. You can have up to 20 photos in one Instagram collage. Luke Bryan only uploaded 7. He couldn't have thrown in just one more for Shelton?

You can see the list below.

Luke Bryan HATES Blake Shelton, Confirmed

I kid, of course.

If the post was made by a social media staff member and not actually by Luke Bryan, then the person they hired needs to do some more homework. Have they not seen the incredible performance put on by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan last year?

It left fans pining for more from the iconic singers.

Hilariously, the inclusion of Taylor Swift did exactly what they wanted it to do. It summoned the Swifties. Every other comment was about him singing with Taylor Swift.

"Luke and tay was my fav duet when i was younger," wrote one.

"PUTTING TAY FIRST IS INSANE!!!" exclaimed another.

"Taylor being first slide YUPPP" hyped one more.

Again, I'm sure this didn't mean too much, but considering Jason Aldean made the list, the exclusion of Shelton and is must be an oversight. Unless it's personal.
