Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean sat down with American Songwriter and spoke about the importance of fatherhood, and it seems like these two just get it. When discussing the most important part of the role, Luke Bryan shared this tip.

He argued that one of the most important parts of fatherhood, and parenting in general, is "supporting the children." Then, he told American Songwriter, "I think too, through all their good days and bad you have to uplift them." The star continued, "To teach them to cut themselves some slack." I think this message is incredibly important.

After all, it can be easy to lend support during the successful times. You want to tell your kids how proud of them you are, but what about the low times? You need to support your children through their mistakes and failures, just as hard as you support their successes.

The country singer goes on to explain that his children face an extra burden because of his fame. "I have seen this wold put pressures on my boys that I never even thought about when I was a kid," the star commented. "Especailly in my case, just because they are my children."

However he makes sure that he sits with each of them and let's them know that everything will be alright. Additionally, he shared that he noticed his children are always watching him. This goes for all the moms out there as well. Your kids are always watching. So if you don't want them to do something, be sure you don't exhibit that behavior yourself.

That's a Luke Bryan bonus parenting tip for you! Support your kids and make sure you act right in front of them, or you will be copying Bryan's words. " 'I know you have seen me do this... but that doesn't mean you do it.' "

Your children lean on you as an example, so make sure you set a damn good one.
