With Yellowstone wrapped up, for better or worse, the cast may be asking themselves 'what now?' Men's Health spoke to Luke Grimes about this, where he revealed that he hasn't spoken to Kevin Costner since his dramatic exit from the series.

Costner played John Dutton, the patriarch of the Dutton family, and also served as a writer with Taylor Sheridan. John Dutton's death was a bombshell moment in the series and gave Sheridan full script control. Something many were not pleased with.
Since Costner left, however, Luke Grimes hasn't spoken to him.
"I haven't talked to him since," Grimes told the outlet. "It's not a case of any hard feelings or anything. It's just, he's Kevin Costner." And honestly, it's understandable. If I had Kevin Costner's phone number, I feel almost scared to ring it. What if he answers?
"He's a big deal, I do have his phone number — I just don't feel like it's my place to reach out. He can reach out to me if he wants to," he adds.

"None of us saw it coming the way it did, and obviously there was news about possible blowups behind the scenes or whatever," Grimes said of Costner leaving the show.
"But just like in life, man, these things happen, they happen fast, and they're not predictable."
Grimes shared about the loss of his father. "I lost my father a few years ago. It happened fast, and it was not the way that you would think that that would happen. In life, these things happen and then people have to start making decisions. And in our little 'Yellowstone' world, that helped ramp the show up into a boil."
The Yellowstone cast felt like a family on and off-screen, and Costner's sudden exit shocked both viewers and the cast. Although Costner is a pretty busy man, I'm sure he wouldn't mind a phone call and a catch-up.
