Costco Wholesale continues to grow as this major grocery chain plans to open new locations in early 2025. The big-box warehouse corporation is about to have 900 locations worldwide with the latest expansions, adding six new stores.

By March 2025, six brand new Costco warehouses will be opening in the U.S. with its usual membership exclusivity. Famous for its retail goods in large quantities and fresh, rotisserie chicken, Americans will be pleased to know of these openings.
Two new Costcos are arriving in California, two others in Texas, one in Michigan, and another in Massachusetts. All arriving in March 2025, consumers from these regions can look forward to new Costco Wholesale stores.
All New Costco Stores Coming 2025
So far, Costco has announced on its website these six locations opening on different dates in March of next year:
- Brentwood, California
- Genesee County, Michigan
- Highland, California
- Prosper, Texas (March 14)
- Sharon, Massachusetts (March 1)
- Weatherford, Texas (March 15)
As for the rest of 2025, we know for certain that this grocery chain plans to open 29 new locations during the 2025 fiscal year. This runs from September 2024 to August 2025, which Costco CFO, Gary Millership, revealed in a September earnings call.
This includes 26 new stores, alongside three relocations of existing ones. 10 of them will be outside of the U.S. as well. We don't yet know what Costco has planned for Fall and Winter 2025, but at this point, it can only go up.
If you live in any of these six regions and have yet to purchase a Costco membership, now may be the time. These are just a few of the stores coming in the 2025 fiscal year, so there's still more to come. Costco currently has over 600 U.S. warehouses, over 100 in Canada, and less than 50 in Mexico, Japan, the United Kingdom, and more.
Countries like Sweden, New Zealand, and Iceland only have one Costco, but perhaps the 10 overseas Costco expansions may include countries lacking warehouses.
