Regardless of the fact that he could not walk without a cane he seemed in high spirits. He started the video with, "Your boy is a cancer survivor."
From there he thanks God, his team of doctors, his nurses and his family for supporting him during these trying times. The star shared that doctors found cancer in his bile duct. He stated, " I did have cancer, they found it in the bile duct, right between the pancreas and liver, and the cancer was sitting right outside the bile duct."
After learning of his diagnosis, Randy Moss under went an extensive surgery known as a Whipple procedure. This is a surgical procedure that removes part of the pancreas and surrounding tissues as a result of, and to treat, pancreatic cancer.
While explaining these details Moss seemed to be in good spirits and seemed to be optimistic about this stage in his cancer battle. He shared that he will be slowly nursing his way back to health and his fans rallied behind him.
Update On Athlete's Cancer Battle
While Moss has not been seen in public for the last month his business partner has spoken out about his progress amid his cancer battle.
The Daily Mail shares what his business partner, Brittany Tolliferrero, had to say. "He was in great spirits when I talked to him," she shared. "I haven't noticed any change in him, he's pretty consistent with his personality."
It is truly incredible that Randy Moss was able to maintain is optimism and entrepreneurial spirit during and after his cancer battle. As cancer takes its toll on the body, it so often takes its toll on the mind as well. It is nice to see that the star is not letting these trying times get him down.
His partner even hinted that he may be making a trip next month. Their business, Crisspi's Chicken, is opening a new location in Miami and Moss has hinted at his desire to visit the new chain. The chain has an official opening on January 18th and there is a chance that Moss will be there to cut the rope.
