You're officially never allowed to use the excuse of not having the right gear to avoid working out ever again. Truett Hanes, an absolute wildman, has just completed the Austin Marathon in nothing but a pair of jeans and trainers.

The footage from the 26.2-mile slog shows him casually pacing out the race without a t-shirt, but solid jeans on the bottom half. Whereas the rest of the racers look like they have spent thousands on gear, Hanes looks like he came straight from the construction site.
He made incredible time too. While running the marathon in jeans, he came in just seconds behind the womens winner of the race. The whole 26 miles was completed by this casually dressed runner in 2:42:51. That is just over a six-minute mile. Unreal.
Maybe He Just Loves Chafing
Running the marathon in jeans was more than just a way to show off. Truett Hanes was doing the chafeathon for charity. The jeans company, The Perfect Jean, promised to shell out a huge amount of money to a good cause for him to endure the marathon.
In a post from November, when he ran another marathon, he posted "26.2 tomorrow and over $14,000 raised for @mssociety now THAT is "denim daddy" approved." So, he might seem like a madman, but he's a madman with a cause.
Running marathons in his jeans isn't the only thing Truett Hanes is known for either. He also holds the world record for the most amount of pull-ups done in a 24-hour period. The number came in at 10,001. That's another absolutely disgusting record to set.
Videos on his Instagram show the sheer damage done by that many pull-ups. His hands are a blistered bloody mess, much like his thighs after a jean-clad marathon, I expect. He should look to get some kind of skin cream, or talc sponsorship alongside his jeans in all honesty.
While looking great, this guy is smashing marathons in jeans, and raising money for charity. If you ever wanted a reason to feel bad about yourself, this guy will certainly help. But, if you're looking for a good pair of jeans, you might want a pair of what he has on.
