One golden rule I've found in watching wrestling over the years is that the bad guy is always going to trash the hometown. The heel, in wrestling terminology, always takes the opportunities to take potshots at the crowd in order to get the crowd to boo them. This is a tried and true tradition that has lasted decades now and it hasn't stopped now either. Matthew McConaughey learned this firsthand when he was at a recent show.

Recently, WWE hosted an episode of Smackdown in Austin, Texas, home of the Texas Longhorns. There, one of the company's top villains Kevin Owens cuts a scathing promo against his opponent for the Royal Rumble, Cody Rhodes. However, things take quite the turn when he eyeballs Matthew McConaughey in the front row by the commentary table. Then, in typical antagonistic behavior, Owens kills two birds with one stone by making fun of him and the city's college football team. "At the [Royal] Rumble, I'm gonna beat Cody [Rhodes] just like Ohio State beat your stupid Longhorns," he trolls.
