Post Malone's Acceptance Into Country Music

It's fitting that Post Malone is celebrating all things country. The New York native received his first five ACM Awards nominations, including one for Album of the Year, for his F-1 Trillion record. It's just part of Post Malone's new era, one where he feels more at home in Nashville than Los Angeles.

"It's really nice meeting people in Nashville that made me feel so welcome," Post Malone tells Apple Music. "And, new friends and kind of building new stuff. For once, I'm not sad anymore. I'm happy, very happy."

Post Malone has plenty of friends in Nashville as well, including Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson and many more, who have embraced his presence in country music.

"L.A. is L.A. and working here, I've always felt very distracted," Post Malone shares. "And it's nice to go to Nashville and really just meet people who are the best at what they do and who are super kind and super talented. it's always like someone wants something from you [in L.A.] And that's something I didn't see often in Nashville."

Post Malone also received four nominations for his contributions in writing Wallen's "I Had Some Help" song, including one for Song of the Year.
