Mike McDaniel and the Miami Dolphins haven't had much to celebrate this season. They're 3-7 over their opening 10 games and third in the AFC. One of those three wins came on Sunday, Nov. 9, via a shock win over the Buffalo Bills.
There's no doubt that Dolphins' fans celebrated. They've been waiting for a notable win all season. And, it would appear McDaniel got in on the celebrations by trolling a Bills fan as he drove past them in the street. The photograph that surfaced on social media went viral, amassing 142 thousand views.
McDaniel tried to make light of his trolling when asked about the interaction at his weekly press conference on Monday.
"That's why I like the good old days, the throwbacks of yore, when you could trust the internet and the images because that is pretty detailed," McDaniel told reporters with a straight face. "I do live in that area... but I mean, AI, right?"
McDaniel provided a coy response when pressed on whether the photograph was real.
"I live in that area, and AI is real. That's what I got for ya, "
Mike McDaniel's AI Claim Was Debunked
McDaniel was clearly joking when he brought up AI; however, if he was truly trying to play off his trolling, he would likely need a better excuse.
The same user who posted the photograph of the Dolphins' head coach has since uploaded a video of the incident, showing McDaniel circling a bar and interacting with some Bills fans out the window of his car.
