Michigan Country Music Festival Canceled Days Before Start Date

A Michigan country music festival that was supposed to replace an annual event is cancelled days before its start.

Michigan's Faster Horses Music Festival, a country music festival that has been held annually since 2013, announced in February that it would be taking a temporary pause in 2025. The event was supposed to be replaced by a new and improved Country Roads Music Festival, but just a few days before its scheduled start date, the new festival announced its own cancellation as well.

As announced on their social media

via Facebook, "We've made the difficult decision to postpone Country Roads Music Festival until 2026." They continued, saying, "Our goal has always been to create something meaningful for this community, and we want to give it the time and care it deserves."

The statement also mentioned a refund policy, saying that "All tickets will be fully refunded. You don't need to do a thing, we'll handle it on our end and make sure that money gets back to you as quickly as possible."

What Was In Store

The Country Roads Music Festival was designed to be similar to the Faster Horses Music Festival, which in the past has featured impressive headliners such as Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert, Shania Twain, Keith Urban, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, and HARDY. Up until its cancellation on Monday, the social media for Country Roads had continued to promote and advertise the new event.

This year, the new festival was to feature headliners such as Colt Ford, Restless Road, and Drew Baldridge, along with other local performers. Country Roads was supposed to be a three-day event featuring the same activities as the previous festival, including music, camping, a 3K run, and cornhole. The plan was to hold the new festival at the Groves of Michigan Campground, located just down the road from the Michigan International Speedway, where Faster Horses is typically held.

The statement came to a close, saying, "We're so grateful for your support and understanding. This community means the world to us, and we can't wait to share something really special in 2026."
