The price of concerts nowadays is absolutely insane. Groceries are skyrocketing, fast food menus are arguably even worse, landlords are making it almost impossible to pay for rent. How could anyone possibly afford concert tickets? It's even worse when oftentimes, they cost just as much as rent does. It's maddening but people are willing to go in debt for it because life is meant to be lived. Fans of Miley Cyrus were more than eager to celebrate and support their favorite artist. However, what they wanted isn't exactly what they got.

Recently, Cyrus held the world premiere for her short film in promotion of her album Something Beautiful. It was described as one long music video, capping at around 55 minutes. Afterwards, Miley would have a conversation about it with the audience. However, apparently, her fans thought it was supposed to be a concert and forked over $800 accordingly. Imagine their surprise when they're sat there watching a short film instead of a live performance.
Miley Cyrus Fans Can't Contain Their Frustrations Over Paying $800 for Something They Didn't Expect
One fan even went as far to exclaim it to Cyrus herself at the world premiere. They ask if she's "actually going to sing" while others pester her to perform different songs. Miley is visibly pissed off at all the heckling, probably furious that people were being ungrateful or frustrated at the mixup. To be fair, the description pretty explicitly describes the affair as a music video, not a live concert. Anyone paying almost $1,000 without doing their due diligence has to eat that unfortunately.
Still, that doesn't stop people online from harassing Miley even further. Her Instagram comments are filled with people claiming that they were scammed by false advertising. This is just proof to me that people don't actually read.
One person writes to Miley, "spent my RENT on 'concert' tickets, just to end up watching a f--king movie I could've watched on YouTube. false advertising 1000%. my favorite artist of all time, I couldn't be more disappointed. you failed everyone at The Beacon tonight."
Similarly, one person laments driving their family and draining a ton of money into the venture. "Miley, I flew with 2 daughters from Houston, thinking we would see you perform. This trip is thousands of dollars. This was advertised as a CONCERT," they comment (it wasn't advertised like that). "This was a rip off. I want my money back and an apology. FALSE ADVERTISING x100! All the people in the lobby were angry at being scammed."
