Miranda Lambert's Loving Tribute to Two of Her Animals: "I Know You Are Both in Greener Pastures"

Having an animal is such a special, intense, and emotional experience. They always offer companionship, boundless love, and total acceptance. In return, they ask us for very little - an affectionate pat, a bowl full of food, a soft, warm place to sleep. As country star Miranda Lambert is sharing with her fans today, it's so hard to say that last, eternal goodbye to them when the rainbow bridge awaits.

Lambert Deeply Misses Her Two Little Equine Friends

The "Kerosene" singer, 42, posted on Instagram about a painful double loss that she is now coping with. Her sorrowful message reads as follows. "My sweet little nugget's Sugar Pie and Adrianna crossed over the rainbow bridge today. I've had 18 years with these littles and I can't tell you how much joy they brought me."

She added, " The best part about being an animal mom is the joy. The worst part is when the time comes to say goodbye. Full of gratitude for them and for Tommy, Julia and Sarah and everyone who helped take care of them and give them the best life when I was on the road all these years. Godspeed little bitty's. I know you are both in greener pastures as I type this. I'll see y'all again one day. Big love"

She Showed Them on Social Media

Lambert's post was accompanied by photos of the pair of adorable horses. One shows the singer with her cheek sweetly pressed to the muzzle of one of them. Another set of images depicts one with a red, white, and blue blanket draped over its body. A video captures them being gently stroked by a hand, probably Lambert's. Clearly, these two cherished horses were loved very much and well cared for throughout their lives.

Fans Tried Hard To Console Her

Many posted messages of comfort and compassion in an effort to ease Lambert's heartache.

"I'm so very sorry. You have my deepest sympathy. You are so good to all your pets and animals. Gave them all so much love."

"So sorry to hear this news but glad you gave them a good life and enjoyed having them in your life."

"I truly believe animals know that someday they'll take a piece with them to heaven. I think they do it because they want to be sure as soon as we get there, we can fill that space all over again. We love you, Miranda!!!"
