Miranda Lambert and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, have been married for seven years. While speaking with Cowgirl Life, Lambert revealed what it is about her husband that she loves the most. It may come as a surprise to some, but she actually loves his honesty.

"You know, it's like having somebody at home who can bring you back to earth and really tell it to you straight, even if it's sometimes hard to hear. I'm so thankful that he's willing to come on this journey with me, and this adventure, but also be a grounding spot and a home for me."
In an interview with Theo Von, Lambert even said of her husband, "I am such a big stickler for, don't surround yourself with 'yes' people." Miranda shared of having a husband who's a "regular guy," "He comes into my world, but he tells me the truth. He calls me on my sh**, he tells me the truth, he doesn't sugarcoat, he sees everything for what it is. And I really appreciate that."
McLoughlin and Lambert both come from blue-collar families, so they connected on that upon meeting. Before moving to Nashville, McLoughlin actually retired from the NYPD in 2020. Now, McLoughlin works on Lambert's security team and is often present at her tours and events.
"I come from a long line of first responders. I've got a bunch of firemen and cops in my family, and my dad was a police officer in Dallas. We're kindred spirits, even though we're from different parts of the country," Lambert shared.
Miranda and Brendan's Love Story
Miranda first met Brendan on the set of Good Morning America in New York City in 2018. Lambert was there to perform with her band, the Pistol Annies, whom she'd performed with several times on the show.
She told People that the Annie's, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley, "hand-plucked" McLoughlin for Lambert, who was working on the set of GMA as security that day. "My girlfriends, the Annies, saw him and knew I might be ready to hang out with someone," she said. "They invited him to our show behind my back."
In January of 2019, the couple officially tied the knot, after only a few months of being together. Lambert shared the announcement on Instagram with fans, who were happy for her but also surprised.
Acknowledging her quick engagement, Lambert told People, "I feel like I've been through enough in my life to know what I don't want, so when I know what I do want I snatch it right up."
