A drunken New Jersey mother was placed under arrest. This happened after she drifted into traffic and crashed her car with her 3 kids inside. Although she initially argued that she had had no alcohol that evening, it was later proven that she was nearly 5 times the legal limit. Luckily no one was injured despite this mom having crashed her car.

Mom Crashed Car With 3 Kids Inside
The people of Ewing Township heard a loud bang the other night. That bang was Megan Fackler crashing her 2020 Chevrolet Traverse into a truck. She told officers that she had been on her way to take her children to dinner. However, the more she spoke the more convoluted the story became.
The Ewing Police Department released body cam footage from the aftermath. The footage showed Fackler slurring her words as she tried to explain what had happened. At one point, she couldn't even remember which way she had been driving. One of her daughters argued that they had been going the opposite direction that her mother had claimed.
Fackler seemed to be in relatively good spirits until an officer asked her to get out of the car. From there she stated, ""I work for the DOT, I understand how this works." The officer then presented the mother with two choices. She could get out and take the tests to determine if she was drunk, or be arrested on the spot. Eventually, she chose to take the tests.
Mom Was Nearly 5 Times Legal Limit
The tests confirmed what officers feared, this mother was clearly inebriated. Although Fackler continued to blame her mental state on her recent divorce, rather than on alcohol consumption. However once she failed the tests and multiple bottles of open wine were found in her car, there was no more denying the truth.
Despite her claims that the bottles were weeks old, the NY Post shares that Fackler blew "0.371% — nearly five times the legal limit." Additionally the post shares that "A BAC between 0.30% and 0.40% can render a person unconscious and leave them with alcohol poisoning." Honestly it is impressive she was still standing at all.
After proving that alcohol was the culprit behind this mother crashing her car with her 3 kids inside, she was charged. The Post shares that, "Fackler was criminally charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child in the wake of the incident."
