Morgan Wallen Breaks Silence About 'SNL' Controversy

On May 11th, Morgan Wallen finally broke the silence on his SNL scene. He did it during an episode of Sundae Conversation. A podcast hosted by Caleb Pressley. I would say I'm surprised, but this is the exact content Caleb thrives on. I'm just as excited to see the context as you all are, I'm sure. Here's the episode, by the way:

The SNL Controversy

For those of you living under a rock for the past few months, Morgan Wallen did a whoopsie on SNL back in March. Usually, actors or singers stay for a bit. The cameras keep rolling, and everyone hugs it out. It's very infrequent for the guests not to stay for these moments. Naturally, Morgan was one of the few who didn't. He walked right off the stage at the end of the show.

Unfortunately for him, he didn't really stop there. He took it one step further by posting on his socials, "Get me to God's Country." So, naturally, there was a little bit of backlash and confusion. People wondered what SNL could have possibly done to cause this reaction from him. There were rumors flying all over the place.

And now, for the first time, Morgan was forced to speak on the subject. And in the typical Caleb Pressley fashion, it was not by choice.

Morgan Wallen Speaks

As I stated above, Caleb Pressley has a very specific style. He likes to make his viewers and interviewees laugh with some awkward questioning. He also likes to throw off the pace of the interview randomly. Just makes the whole situation as uncomfortable as possible.

However, Morgan Wallen did not seem to be joking around when he answered Caleb's question about SNL.

During the interview, Caleb asked, "SNL, did they make you mad?" Incredibly quickly, Morgan responded with, "No, no, I was ready to go home. I'd been there all week."

He did not answer that question like a singer with something to hide. That was a genuine response during an interview that was mostly silly. So clearly, Morgan is past the whole issue, no matter what it was.
