Morgan Wallen Just Broke A Record Held By Garth Brooks

Morgan Wallen just set a record previously held by Garth Brooks. Wallen's 2023 One Thing At A Time album just spent its 75th non-consecutive week at the top of Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. According to American Songwriter, the two superstars were previously tied at 173 total weeks at the top of the chart. The new milestone gives Wallen a record-breaking 174 weeks atop Billboard's Top Country Albums chart

Brooks spent a respectable 173 weeks at the top of the same chart. But unlike Wallen, Brooks' reign at No. 1 was not consecutive weeks. Brooks' sophomore No Fences album, released in 1990, was his first to land at the top of the chart. Since then, Brooks has released 12 records and four boxed sets to achieve 173 weeks.

Meanwhile, Wallen broke the record with one album, which came out on March 3, 2023.

Morgan Wallen's Overwhelming Success in Country Music

Wallen likely has several more records he will break throughout his career. His "Last Night" single, from One Thing At A Time, was named Billboard's No. 1 country song of the 21st century. He currently has two songs in the Top 20 right now, both "I'm the Problem" at No. 12, and "Love Somebody" at No. 3. "I'm the Problem" is also the title track of Wallen's next record.

Last year, Wallen wrapped up one of the biggest tours of all time, with his One Night At A Time World Tour.

"As I sit here just a few weeks removed from one of the largest country music tours in history, I still can't really find the words to say how much me being able to say that means," he says. Wallen also admits he could have never predicted how his life and career would turn out.

"You know, over the span of almost ten years, now, there were times in that period where I doubted myself," he adds "I doubted my voice. I doubted God's plan. ... My fans have made it abundantly clear that you want to hear my voice and you do care about it. So I just wanted you guys to know how much I appreciate that and how much your support and the passion for my music for me as a person, how much it truly means."

Wallen will embark on another tour in 2025, with an impressive list of opening acts. The Tennessee native will kick off his I'm The Problem Tour in June, which includes Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Koe Wetzel.
