Morgan Wallen Uses Album Success to Seemingly Take Another Shot at the CMA Awards

Morgan Wallen's "I'm The Problem" album is the most listened to project of 2025 according to Apple Music. He also has 12 of the top 100 songs.

Morgan Wallen is arguably the hottest star in the world right now. According to Apple Music, his "I'm The Problem" album ranks as the "most-listened-to project" this year. Considering his competition is literally every musician and every album ever, that's an impressive achievement.

Not only did Wallen top the album charts on Apple Music, but he also has 12 songs in the top 100 of Apple's charts. That's right, 12% of the top-100 songs this year came from Wallen. Yet, for some reason, he wasn't selected as the 2025 Entertainer of the Year at the CMA Awards. Sure, he won the same trophy last year, but based on his success, his being overlooked seems like a pretty big mistake.

Of course, Wallen wasted no time in taking a thinly-veiled shot at the CMA awards. He shared Apple Music's post about him leading the album charts to his Instagram story. The caption read, "I let my fans do the talking."

Now, read into that what you will, but from where most of us are sitting, that's a shot at him being overlooked by the CMA Awards.

Morgan Wallen Probably Doesn't Care About the CMA Awards

Ernest gave a blut, yet refreshingly honest answer when asked about Wallen's stance on the CMA Awards. His comments came during a recent interview on "Taste of Country Nights."

"He don't give a s--t," Ernest said. "Since when is Morgan giving a s--t? Who's makin' more money doing this than Morgan Wallen, he doesn't give a f--k about this award. I wouldn't either if I was Morgan Wallen."

Judging by Apple Music's recent charts, and knowing he's likely performing well on Spotify and Amazon Music too, it's hard to believe Wallen would care what a voting panel has to say. He's crushing the streaming game and selling out shows around the world. Wallen is a superstar who has transcended the country genre.

Wallen has very little to be upset about. So, taking Ernest at his word seems like the smartest option. What would you rather have: global success or a trophy that sits on a shelf somewhere that most people will forget about in 5-10 years?
