Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town and More React to Christmas Day Explosion in Nashville

Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Little Big Town and more country artists took to social media to share their reactions to an explosion in downtown Nashville. On Christmas morning, an RV exploded in downtown Nashville, rocking the city's 2nd Avenue -- near Lower Broadway.

The Tennessean reports that federal authorities say a 63-year-old Antioch man named Anthony Quinn Warner was responsible for the bombing. He died in the blast.

Police said three people were hospitalized with injuries. None are in critical condition.

Over 40 businesses and restaurants were affected by the explosion.

Underwood thanked first responders on the scene.

"A huge thank you to all the brave first responders in Nashville this morning," Underwood wrote on Dec. 25.

"My heart is with all of my fellow Nashvillians that have been affected by this...especially on Christmas," Chris Young wrote.

 

"Thinking of our beautiful hometown we love so much," wrote Little Big Town. "We are beyond grateful to our first responders for your dedication and bravery. Our prayers and love are with all those serving our community."

 

Brad Paisley acknowledged that it's been a "tough year for Nashville," sharing a song for a city that's been impacted by a  deadly tornado and an ongoing pandemic.

"Be safe everyone," the country star wrote, sharing a Christmas duet with Kevin Nealon.

Country singer Cassadee Pope wrote that the explosion shook her house.

Carly Pearce sent her love to Nashville residents.
