Fiancée of Late NBA Star Breaks Silence After Shock Death

Brandon Clarke’s fiancée has shared an emotional tribute following the Memphis Grizzlies player’s sudden death at age 29.

The fiancée of late Brandon Clarke has shared an emotional tribute just days after the NBA player's sudden death.

Clarke, 29, was found dead inside a home in the San Fernando Valley on Monday, May 11.

Emergency crews responded to a 911 call involving a medical emergency shortly after 5 PM local time, but the Memphis Grizzlies forward was pronounced dead at the scene.

TMZ states that investigators found drug paraphernalia inside the property and are examining the possibility of an overdose.

NBA Star's Death Leaves Fiancée Devastated

Clarke's fiancée, Amber Lorraine, later took to Instagram to pay tribute to her late partner.

Lorraine shared several photos of the couple together, including a picture of Clarke proposing on one knee.

"The day you proposed was the happiest day of my life. We were supposed to be married soon and eventually start a family," she wrote, via Complex.

She went on to describe Clarke as her soulmate while reflecting on their relationship, including his humor, their deep conversations, quiet movie nights, and breakfasts together.

Lorraine also revealed that the pair dreamed of eventually settling down somewhere peaceful with animals and a garden.

She described Clarke as someone with the biggest heart and praised both his music and gaming talents while saying he made her feel loved every day.

"There are no words to describe this feeling," Lorraine added. "I never thought I'd have to live life without you."

"All I want is to hug you and kiss you. This world isn't the same without you."

Lorraine ended the tribute by asking Clarke to continue watching over her.

Before reaching the NBA, Clarke played college basketball at San Jose State University between 2015 and 2017 before transferring to Gonzaga University for the 2018-19 season.

The 6-foot-8 forward was selected 21st overall in the 2019 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder before later being traded to Memphis.

Across his NBA career, Clarke appeared in 309 regular-season games, averaging 10.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.

He also played in 14 postseason games.

On April 1, Clarke was arrested in Cross County on charges including possession of a controlled substance. As well as fleeing, speeding, and trafficking a controlled substance.

He was later released on a $25,000 bond and had been scheduled to appear in court on May 15 in Forrest City.
