If you're feeling emotional already, it may be wise to hold off on listening to this one right now.
Son of the incredible Chris LeDoux, Ned has written a modern hymn that really speaks to the soul. "Real As I Believe" touches on heaven, personal loss, and the hope that's found in faith. There isn't a need to threat about death or grief if heaven is as real as Ned believes.
The song is a beautiful testament to faith, and is something I believe the world really needs to hear right now. Some lines hit pretty hard, and are deeply relatable to anyone with even a kernel of faith.
"Real As I Believe" will be a part of LeDoux's upcoming album, Safe Haven, out April 4. The release of this single accompanies two other pre-album drops, including "One Hand In The Rigging." That single includes never-before-heard vocals from his late father.
But you don't need vocals to hear Chris through Ned in this powerful track.

Ned LeDoux Touches On The Loss Of His Daughter In "Real As I Believe"
In all honesty, dear readers, I was painfully unaware of the Wyoming native, his history, and his talents before recently.
Reading up on him is what made his new song hit so much harder, however. In 2019, he tragically lost his 2-year-old daughter. Hearing him sing of her in such a hopeful way after the excruciating pain and grief he went through is moving, to say the least.
In a statement shared with WOC, Ned LeDoux said, "Music can be a powerful thing."
"It opened me up and exposed me in ways I never expected. Very spiritual for sure," he continued. His transformative journey with music shines through his sincere singing.
Speaking on the upcoming album, LeDoux said, "My songwriting maturity is more confident than it's ever been before." Again, another thing "Real As I Believe" exemplifies.
It's a beautiful song that has woven hope and joy from the threads of tragedy and entropy. LeDoux is more than a singer, he's an artist.
