This isn't the best look for Morgan Wallen following his infamous chair incident.

In police footage obtained by the Associated Press and reported by The Independentthe "I'm the Problem" singer is shown explicitly denying to police, both before and after his arrest in April 2024, that he threw a chair off of Eric Church's Chief's Bar.

A Quick Recap of Morgan Wallen's Arrest

We reported that an arrest warrant stated Morgan Wallen was seen on April 7, 2024, lifting and tossing a chair over the edge of Church's bar roof.

Two Metro Nashville Police Department officers were reportedly standing below on Broadway when the chair landed three feet from them. The officers then engaged with bar staff and witnesses and examined security footage to confirm Wallen's alleged actions.

Shortly thereafter, Wallen was arrested just after midnight and charged with three felony reckless endangerment counts and one misdemeanor disorderly conduct count. He posted a $15,250 bond around 3:30 a.m.

Nearly two weeks after his arrest, Wallen said on social media that he's "not proud" of his behavior, accepts responsibility, and "made amends" with Nashville law enforcement and others involved. He pled guilty to two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment. Wallen was then sentenced to spend seven days in a DUI education center and was placed on supervised probation for two years.

What Does the Video Show?

In-car police footage shows two officers reacting to something falling from the roof. Body cam video places the broken chair near their cruiser.

When Wallen and his bodyguards arrive at the Chief's entrance, one of them shouts, "He didn't see anything. You don't have witnesses; you are accusing! He didn't throw nothing. He didn't throw nothing."

The bodyguard then accuses two bar workers of "being aggressive."

When asked what happened, Wallen says, "I don't know." He later tells another officer, "We've not tried to cause no problems, man. I don't know what they are — I don't know why."

The officer explains they are trying to determine what happened to the chair. "As you should," Wallen replies.

Morgan Wallen Then Calls Eric Church

When Wallen is on his phone, he tells the officer, "Eric Church is on the phone."

He then uses an expletive to refer to the officers, stating they were "trying to take me to jail outside of your (expletive) bar."

Church can't be heard on the video. According to a representative for the "Springsteen" singer, he told the officer that Wallen should wait somewhere private instead of standing on the sidewalk.

"It's not really something we can do," the officer says. "Law enforcement have to enforce the laws. Figure out what happened. We've got a supervisor coming to the scene. Gotta treat it like we would with anybody else."

Wallen Never Admits He Threw the Chair

As the video progresses, a sergeant tells Wallen they saw security footage of him throwing the chair off the roof. Wallen is handcuffed, and officers speak with two witnesses about what they saw.

Wallen apologizes to officers: "I truly didn't mean no harm," "Sorry to cause problems, I didn't mean to," and "God damn it, I am sorry, man."

After Wallen is cuffed, a sergeant says, "He didn't admit to it, but we got him on camera doing it."

"This Is Me and Thomas Rhett!"

The ride in the cruiser was certainly unusual. Wallen asks an officer for his favorite country musicians.

"I can tell you my top three right now," the officer says. "You're honestly one of them."

He then plays one of Wallen's songs with Thomas Rhett.

"This is me and Thomas Rhett," Wallen shouts. "Turn it up. That's me and TR! That's me right there."

Wallen sings and adds, "TR is one of the best dudes in the world. He would definitely not be getting arrested."
