At around 3:30 PM local time, the Los Angeles Fire Department was called to the Brentwood home of Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer. Authorities on the scene found two dead bodies, one belonging to a male around 78 years old, and another to a female around 68 years old.

Sources have since confirmed to TMZ that the bodies were indeed those of Reiner and Singer.
In a tragic new update, TMZ has reported that the Hollywood couple had their throats slit. The injuries sustained by the horrific act are likely what led to their deaths. The same report notes that one of the couple's daughters found the deceased bodies before notifying the authorities.
The daughter is also reported to have told the police that a family member "should be a suspect," labelling them as "dangerous."
Of course, the LAPD is treating the incident as a double homicide.
Rob Reiner's Son Nick Is Reportedly Being Questioned in Connection to the Murders
According to a report by People, Reiner and Singer were murdered by their son, Nick, 32.
"Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were killed by their son, Nick, according to multiple sources who have spoken with family members," People reported. "Police have not yet confirmed the account."
Nick has spoken of his battle with drug addiction. He has bounced in and out of rehab since the age of 15 and has endured multiple bouts of homelessness.
The LAPD is now questioning Nick as a person of interest in the two murders.
"Police say Nick, 32, is alive and being questioned. No arrests have been made."
No formal update has been provided by the authorities yet.
Rob Reiner Was a Talented Actor and Director
Throughout his career in Hollywood, Reiner proved himself to be both a talented actor and director. Some of his most successful movies in the director's chair are The Princess Bride, Stand By Me and A Few Good Men.
He's also had big roles as an actor. Two of the more prominent moves he's played a role in were Sleepless In Seattle and The Wolf Of Wall Street.
Reiner's talent was undeniable. His presence in the Los Angeles community and the entertainment industry will certainly be missed.
