Music can bring together the most unlikely of friendships. That is the case for The Voice's Reba McEntire and Nick Jonas, who have been close since 2001. This year, Reba is judging on the popular show, while Jonas will take on the role of Battle Round Advisor for Team Reba.

Little do most fans know, these two actually met while working on Annie Get Your Gun on Broadway. In the show, McEntire played the role of Annie Oakley and was highly praised for her performance.
Her take was so impressive to audiences that she took home a Theatre World Award for her Broadway debut. Jonas, who was only 8 at the time, joined McEntire for the role of Little Jake, one of Oakley's siblings.
In celebration of their reunion for The Voice, Reba McEntire and Jonas posed on Reba's Instagram for a throwback photo. These two didn't hold back, recreating the picture complete with their original facial expressions. Reba tagged The Voice and captioned the video "Full circle with my #VoiceBattles advisor!!"
Nick Has Been on the Road for the JONAS20 Tour
Although Jonas has been a judge for The Voice before, he stepped away in 2021. Lately, he's been working on other projects, some of which include the other Jonas Brothers.
Right now, he's busy on the JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour. This is the group's 13th tour together, in celebration of their 20-year anniversary of making music. The show kicked off in August and has since welcomed a variety of guests to the stage. Some of these have included Marshmello, the Plain White T's, and Natasha Bedingfield. For their show in Nashville, TN, the band will be joined by The All-American Rejects.
When talking about the tour and what it means to each of them, Nick told People, "The people that were our age back when we were teens touring and making music are our age now and they've grown up and they're bringing their kids to the shows, but their parents that brought them when they were in their youth still want to come." Kevin referred to the tour as a "celebration of how many people have been with us for so long, and the fans that have been made this journey possible."
