"Charges are not evidence," Hochman said. "Evidence is something we will be presenting in a court of law to meet the standard of proof we meet at every criminal case, which is beyond a reasonable doubt."

The charges Nick is facing will carry a maximum sentence of life in prison. Hochman also refused to rule out the death penalty in this instance, insisting that "no decision" has been made.

According to a report by TMZ, both Rob and Michelle had their throats slit while in their Brentwood mansion.

"Rob Reiner and his wife Michele had their throats slit by a family member, possibly after an argument inside their Los Angeles home, leading to their tragic deaths ... TMZ has learned."

TMZ also noted that one of Reiner's daughters found the bodies. According to reports, she immediately began urging the police to look at a family member as a suspect, labelling them as "Dangerous."

"Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were killed by their son, Nick, according to multiple sources who have spoken with family members," People reported. "Police have not yet confirmed the account...Police say Nick, 32, is alive and being questioned. No arrests have been made."
