Texas Roadhouse Is Weathering The Storm
The statement released by Texas Roadhouse has reassured many that they needn't worry too much. Rather than going into full panic mode, they're looking at things logically. The year is still very fresh, and it's been a cold one.
Adverse weather, like the storms and snow the US has been dealing with, isn't exactly the most inviting. Looking outside and seeing a blizzard doesn't exactly scream 'date night.'
With bad weather comes the inevitable cold and flu epidemic too. It's hard to enjoy a Texas Roadhouse meal when your blocked nose is ruining your taste.
Many food spots are having a tough time, and in comparison, Texas Roadhouse isn't doing that badly. Some food spots are knocking on death's door. At present, the slight decline in sales isn't too much of a worry for the steakhouse, but they need to stay wary.
A statement released by corporate of Texas Roadhouse addressed the situation. "I don't believe any of this is a slowdown in the guests' or consumers' desire to come to Texas Roadhouse. I just believe we're in a little bit of an environment right now where the consumer is just acting a little bit differently, and I think you're hearing that from others as well."
It isn't time to start saying your farewells to the well-loved restaurant yet. But, people's attitudes to eating out in the US are changing, and food spots need to stay on top of it.
