'One Tree Hill' Cast Reunite, Wows Fans With Three-Day Event

The One Tree Hill cast returned to their old stomping ground to meet and mingle with fans over the course of a three-day event.

It's been 13 years since a new episode of One Tree Hill last dropped, yet millennials everywhere still can't get enough of the hit sitcom. The show was a fan favorite for nine years, drawing a global crowd on a weekly basis. Even now, Tree Hill, located in Wilmington, N.C., is awash with fans of the show who are looking to visit all of the popular filming locations.

Recently, those in Wilmington were treated to a special event. Hosted by Friends With Benefit Charity Events, the cast of the show descended upon their old stomping ground. The reunion lasted three days, with each night split into its own standalone event.

The opening night took place on Halloween and was dubbed "Villaween," with some of the notable antagonists making an appearance. That means the often reviled Chris Keller (Tyler Hilton) and Dan Scott (Paul Johansson) were front and center of the night's programming.

Night two, dubbed "Friendsgiving," gave fans in attendance an opportunity to meet and mingle with Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush), Hayley James Scott (Bethany Joy Lenz), and Clayton Evans (Robert Buckley). After the meet and mingle session came to an end, those in attendance got to watch a special taping of the "Drama Queens" podcast as a special treat.

To round out the three-day spectacle, "Tricmas" featured Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray), Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) and a string of special guests. Some lucky attendees also got to have brunch with the duo.

The entire event took place at TRIC, which rose to popularity throughout the show.

A One Tree Hill Reboot Is in the Works

Netflix rarely misses an opportunity to appease its subscribers, and it doesn't like it's about to start now. According to Variety, a reboot of the popular show is in the works. Bush, Hilarie Burton (who played Peyton) and Daneel Ackles (who played Rachel) are reportedly executive producers on the show.

Both Bush and Burton will reprise their roles as best friends Brooke and Peyton. Interestingly, Mark Schwahn, the original creator of One Tree Hill, will have no hand in the reboot.

The rebooted version of the hit TV Show will follow Brooke and Peyton as they navigate life as parents to teenagers. Once again, the show will relate to a huge segment of their original fanbase. And, considering the rabid following One Tree Hill still has, there's every chance the reboot will be a hit.
