Ozzy Osbourne Overwhelmed By Fan Response As He Prepares For His "Goodnight" Final Black Sabbath Concert

Ozzy Osbourne is reportedly overwhelmed by the support from fans and friends in the run-up to his final Black Sabbath Concert.

According to a report by Music News, Ozzy is overwhelmed by the response from friends who rose to the occasion and wanted to participate in his final gig. The original Black Sabbath crew is performing in Birmingham's Villa Park on July 5. The concert also marks the first time the original band has played together in 20 years. Black Sabbath last played in 2017, although the band's long-time drummer, Bill Ward, was absent.

In an interview, Ozzy's wife Sharon reportedly said, "I think it's the best metal gig ever. It's easy when you have such good friends who support you. We've known these guys for years and years, and many of them were passed the torch by Sabbath. It goes down the line. When you need them, they come. He's overwhelmed. He's very overwhelmed by the response of his friends. He said, 'Wow' they're doing this for me?"

The lineup of bands playing at Black Sabbath's final gig will delight any rock and metal fans. Ozzy is set to play a short solo set before being joined by the rest of Black Sabbath. Other legendary bands rising to the occasion include Metallica, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Pantera, and Mastodon.

Sharon Osbourne Says She Knows The Gig Will 'Take A Lot Out Of Ozzy.'

According to Music-News, Sharon admitted in the interview that the gig will take a lot out of her husband. Sharon explained, "It's going to take a lot of physical energy for Ozzy. It takes a lot for someone with Parkinson's." She also reflected on Ozzy's achievements, "we feel so proud of all Ozzy has achieved and all he has overcome. I'm proud of him, and I'm happy for him."

Sharon also reiterated that the gig in Birmingham will definitely be the last for the Prince of Darkness. "For Ozzy, it's goodnight to his fans. The other guys in Sabbath will go on to their various projects, but for Ozzy, it's definitely farewell," she said.
