Singer Pink did not spend New Year's drinking bubbly or performing on a stage to ring in 2026. Instead, she had surgery. She posted a pic of herself on Instagram from her hospital bed, wearing a hospital gown. There is a prominent white bandage on her neck.

In a long and thoughtful post, Pink, 46, wrote her wide-ranging take on the past year and voiced her hopes for the new one. In spite of weathering many ups and downs, she finds joy in anticipating the coming year and wishes others do as well. Her mood is overall admirably buoyant and sensible.
Pink Talked About Her Surgery, the Year Gone By, and the One Upcoming
She described the reason for her confinement to a bed right now. Pink (her name is actually Alecia Beth Moore) said, "...I end the year giving reverence to, paying attention to, and to fixing my body. It may not be a fancy Face lift, but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck."
She added, "A new scar, a new reminder, that I appreciate this vessel that I have and use it for all it's worth." There is no self-pity or fear in her tone. Just practicality and the fierce strength fans love Pink for.
She Found Beauty in the Gloom and Tumult
She summarized the past year bluntly without providing specifics. "I am leaving behind all of my hurt in 2025. This year was a doozy for all of us and it ran the spectrum from absolutely devastating to mildly annoying. In amongst all of that, there was so much beauty." The last sentence defines her. She found "beauty" within the chaos, upheaval, and reversals that she and so many others went though during 2025.
Pink above all expressed optimism. Her equanimity shines thorough every bit of this post. "I know that 2026 is going to be better because that is the choice that I have made." Not just to "fix her body," but to seek goodness rather than linger on disappointment, to be grateful not grumpy, and to revel in happiness not what is dismal in the world.
