Post Malone Sends a 3-Word Message on His Desire to Headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show

During a recent discussion with Billboard, Post Malone admitted that he "would love to" headline a Super Bowl halftime show in the future

When it comes to the Super Bowl, Post Malone seems to always be the bridesmaid and never the bride. The global superstar is no stranger to performing amid the festivities. However, a spot on the biggest stage of all has continued to elude him.

In recent years, Malone has performed and headlined at both YouTube Tailgate Concert and Bud Light's Backyard Concert series. Last year, he performed "in "America The Beautiful" in Las Vegas, with Kendrick Lamar stealing the show at halftime.

And this year, Malone is set to headline Bud Light's Super Bowl concert, which will take place on the Friday before the Super Bowl.

Considering his status as one of the most prominent artists in the world, it's fair to wonder whether Malone will soon get a halftime show of his own. After all, there's no doubt that he could draw an audience. There's even less doubt that he would crush the opportunity.

During a recent discussion with Billboard, Malone was asked whether he would accept an offer to headline the Super Bowl halftime show, to which he replied that he "would love to."

Post Malone Plans To Play Some New Music at His Bud Light Concert

In that same discussion with Billboard, Malone confirmed that he will be playing some of his new music at the Bud Light event, which has been named Bud Light Presents: Post Malone & Buddies.

"A hundred percent," Malone said. "We've been working very, very diligently on new music. And we have 45 songs. It's just a matter of finishing said songs. And the schedule has been so very busy. So we're working and working, but there will be new music by then...Allegedly a hundred percent maybe, definitely. Keep your ears [open]."

Malone has been working on new music for a while, as he looks to wrap up his latest album. As such, fans in attendance could be treated to his first live performances of those songs. And, with his next album expected to be rooted in country music, those new tracks could go down well with a football-crazed crowd.

If the concert is a success, maybe that can help convince the Super Bowl's powers that be that Malone is ready to run his own halftime show. Because we all know that he's more than ready to take on the challenge.
